Mifegyne achieves an effect similar to natural spontaneous abortion. The pregnancy hormone is blocked, resulting in the cessation of egg cell growth and the opening of the uterus. However, this process alone does not cause the cleansing bleeding.
This is triggered only after two days of maturation by taking prostaglandin tablets.
You will receive these tablets from us and will self-administer them at home after two days. This method provides a very high likelihood (98%) of terminating the early pregnancy. A follow-up check will be performed after two weeks either with us or with your gynecologist. A prescription will be provided to address possible side effects.
Medication-induced abortion with Mifegyne is possible up to the 9th week. Ideally, fewer issues arise the earlier the decision to terminate is made. Medication-induced abortion avoids anesthesia and surgical intervention. Internationally, most terminations are now carried out using medication.
